June 2010 New Wounds Add-on Add-On 5, which enables the user to simulate uptake from a wound site has been completely updated to include the latest NCRP Wound model[1]. This update is provided free of charge to all users who already have this Add-On. To enable the new functionality, simply update your version of IMBA to the latest version (4.1.09). This can be done:
Add-On 5 enables you to deal with intakes from a wound, i.e., transdermal intake. This functionality is integrated automatically with all of the calculations (dosimetry, bioassay and intake fitting). Users may enter their own values for the retention function as a sum of exponentials (User Defined Mode) or choose one of the NCRP Default wound categories: Soluble, Colloid, Particle or Fragment. Users wanting to purchase Add-On5 can do so directly from this web site here. | 28 January 2010 Version 4.1 of IMBA Professional Plus is now available for downloading from this site. For a number of months, the IMBA team has been working on converting all of the IMBA modules to newer modules (Turbo###.exe). These newer modules are faster and are compiled in 32 bit as opposed to the older modules which are only 16 bit. IMBA Professional Plus is therefore now fully compatible with the 64 bit versions of Vista and Windows 7. The new modules work to a higher degree of precision than previous modules, but extensive QA (U.S. Department of Energy safety software quality assurance) shows that any changes in calculated doses is less that a factor of 1.00001. The new downloads are available free of charge as part of the ongoing commitment to existing users. Updating can be done automatically by clicking “Help/Check for Updates” from the main menu in IMBA, or manually by clicking here. |
